The children will become familiar with the game of Chess, with the various rules, tools and moves, and play Chess online with the help of lichess.org software. Kids will play chess online with lichess.org software, which allows the instructor to create a unique tournament for the group, pair up the children according to their level, and guide them during the game. Your child can also continue using the software after class, to practice and further enjoy the game.

Deep Roots Introduction to Chess. Students will get to know the teacher and their classmates, as well as the basic chess rules and concepts such as: the chessboard, the chess pieces and how they move, what is an illegal move, how to defend a king in check, and how to checkmate the opponent’s king.
Let's play!
Let's play! After learning the basic chess rules and concepts, the students will start experiencing an Online live tournament with their fellow classmates. They will learn that patience is a virtue by promoting the pawn and making in-game decisions based on the piece’s values and position. The kids will also practice various checkmate scenarios.
The King's Fortress
The King's Fortress The students will learn how to protect the king, by using a chess rule called castling. They will also learn opening principles, which help to gain an advantage in the game and avoid costly mistakes.

My child has no previous experience playing chess, would he or she be able to able to participate in this course?
Yes. This course is designed for young children ages 7-9 who have no formal experience in chess.

What is your cancellation policy?

Class time zones – what time do your classes start?
We teach Monday to Friday according to your local time zone. You are welcome to check the schedule and assign yourself to a time that’s most suitable to you.

What is the minimum age for online courses?
We teach kids aged 7-17. The “Chess for Kids” course is intended for children ages 7-9 with no previous experience in chess.

How can I follow up on my child's progress?
All the lessons and practice sessions are automatically recorded. We encourage parents to view the recordings and share their feedback. You can also write an email to the child’s teacher to hear more about him.

Do I need to purchase special equipment for the courses?
All you need is a working computer with an Internet connection and you’re set. We work with windows and Mac operating systems. For further information regarding specific course requirements click here.

How much does it cost?
The total tuition for the course is $499, however, registration starts with a trial period of 14 days that costs $50 which is deducted from the total tuition.

What does the trial period include?
The trial period is basically the first 14 days of the course. Your child will get to know his teacher and classmates, he will use the learning environments and participate in 2 lessons.

What happens if I don't want to continue after the trial period?

Do I need to let you know if I want to continue with the course after the trial period?
No. after the 14 day trial just show up to the next lesson and the rest of the payments will be charged automatically.
