LiveCode provides a smooth transition to the world of code since it uses simple English as syntax. It is also a cross format language allowing you to generate the same code for IOS and Android operating systems.

Projects

Welcome to app development!

Welcome to app development introduces students to the foundations of coding using Scratch.

Hello World

Hellow World is the first app that is developed using real syntax writing. The app allows texts to appear and disappear as a consequence of different textual inputs. *This is the first unit for the intermediate class

Be Cool

Be Cool is the first app that is developed using real syntax writing. The app allows texts to appear and disappear as a consequence of different textual inputs.

My Tamago

My Tamago is a nice and simple game where the gamers can control the counter which is positioned in the center of the screen. The game's UX is uniquely designed by our young Tekkies.

Deep Sea Adventure

Deep Sea Adventure is an educational app that teaches toddlers the names of the different colors. They will build a scoreboard and add animation as part of the question/answer.

Space Odyssey

Space Odyssey is a self-learning program that performs addition and subtraction of numbers within the group of ten. They will create an "about us" page and transfer data to an external software.

My Kitty

My Kitty is an arcade game in which the player needs to catch a target that appears randomly on the screen by dragging his character. While working on this app, kids will exercise the main skills that they have acquired during their first year. *Final unit for the beginner class

My Lite Browser

My Lite Browser is a website index app that allows creating and editing shortcuts from the smartphone. While working on this app, kids will exercise the main skills that they have acquired during their first year. *Final unit for the intermediate class

How we make it work

TekkieUni specializes in operating live-online sessions with full real-time interaction guided by an experienced and attentive teacher, because we believe that with a little help every child who wants to learn – can!

  • Learning together

Learning is all about connecting. That's why we use a video conference software allowing the small size group of children to get to know each other and their teacher. The teacher uses a shared screen option so everyone can see what she is doing on her desktop, and kids can fully participate in the lesson by using the microphone or the chat.
  • Hands-on experience

In addition to the weekly live lessons, students are invited to join a live weekly Q&A session with a teacher present in class. The session is dedicated to provide personal assistance with students' projects, exercises and questions. All the live lessons and practice sessions are automatically recorded and available for students during the course.
  • Project-Based Learning

Students learn by doing and work on interest-based projects, which create a fun class dynamics where we don't present the answers but look for them together.
